Bryan Hudspeth formed Instal Ltd in 1994 after working in the office furniture industry for thirteen years. It is a small business based in south London who’s main aim is to ensure that our clients receive a professional and efficient service at a competitive price. We also strive to provide our team with the necessary tools to stay ahead of our competitors. Initially the company undertook small to medium scale office installation and reconfiguration projects. Whilst still undertaking smaller projects we started to be called upon to take on much larger and complex installation projects as increasingly our clients have acknowledged and appreciated our project management skills. On all projects we work closely with in-house facilities managers and manufacturers project managers. We are normally requested to undertake some or all of project management functions, including:

  • Liaising with manufacturers and designers on design and delivery 

  • Agreeing phasing with clients 

  • Providing and deploying manpower as and when needed 

  • Arranging site logistics by liaising with other trades on site 

  • Arranging and reconciling deliveries 

  • Undertaking stock takes

  • Signing off completed phases and projects

Bryan Hudspeth, Managing Director

Bryan Hudspeth is the Managing Director of Instal Ltd and has had more than 33 years experience in the office furniture installation industry. He was the Regional Manager for Progress North East during the years 1992-1993 and was also the Regional Manager for R.H.T Scotland 1993-1994. Prior to that he worked as a freelance furniture fitter for eleven years based in London. Bryan has gained extensive experience of a wide range of manufacturers’ furniture and his experience working in different roles has allowed him to have a greater vision of all aspects of the industry. Bryan is SMSTS accredited and First Aid trained.

Gary Galvin, Site Manager

Gary Galvin has worked for Instal since 2001 as the Site Manager and oversees the conduct and quality of our projects. After gaining a Diploma in Furniture Management from the London College of Furniture he spent a year as assistant production manager for Heal’s Furniture. He then spent 15 years with German Manufacturer Voko, working on demountable partition systems and furniture. Gary left Voko to form his own company, working for major manufacturers from many countries. He worked on a variety of different scale projects including 6000 workstations for Ford, 5000 workstations for Deutsche Bank, 7500 filing units for BMW and many others, both in the UK and overseas. Gary is SMSTS accredited and First Aid trained.

Staff

Instal Ltd have a very experienced team of fitters and supervisors. Some have been with us for almost 20 years. Our core crew are a very closely-knit team who have known each other for many years and collectively have a great wealth of experience. We have, more recently, started to recruit service leavers through Forceselect, helping to ease the transition from military to civilian life and has also gained us good, loyal and willing operatives. All staff are CSCS accredited and are security cleared with most Government agencies.
